Ok - I finally figured out how to post an entry on this blog. No pictures yet.

So? What have we been up to on the farm? BILLBOARD reconstruction. A little over a week ago, our billboard out on the highway blew down in the wind. Back on Monday/Tuesday, we tore apart the old sign. It was quite interesting. There were multiple layers of advertising on each side. The next step was to find replacement poles. I got a few from the phone company and several more from the power company. Bad windy weather hampered us on Wed. and Fri. Finally this Saturday we began to put the sign back up. The old one had just 4 poles in a straight line. This new one uses 7 poles in a V fashion. It will make it much sturdier and people will be able to see the sign better. We got the poles up on Sat and the bottom layer of boards mounted on. But we still have more boards to put up. It will take using a boom truck. Plus we have to pour cement into all the pole holes. So still fun to go. I'll have to get a picture on here.
