Recent Events

So back last week it was my birthday. Definitely older than dirt now. The morning of the birthday I went on a 5 mile hike in Arches NP out to Double O arch. I did it early in the morning before it got hot. It was a nice hike, but I almost had blisters by the time I got back. I need better shoes I think. And I really shouldn't wear black pants when hiking in the hot sun.

Then this weekend was a family reunion. Two of my kids with spouses came down. They went rock climbing one day. I went out to watch for a bit. They were climbing a 30 high wall in Mill Creek up on the mountain. It was nice and cool. It was kind of fun to just lay back and watch. And no - they could not tempt me to try a climb.


The reunion was fun. Good food. Lots of kids. Kind of crazy at times, but fun. Not sure I would want to do it every year. It was nice to see everyone though. A big thank you to all those who worked so hard to make this happen.
